This mosaic inlay piece is typical of the fine craftsmanship of the artists in Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico. It has 3 strands of shell heishi that are smooth as silk. The inlay work is superb and features a large shell-shaped piece at the bottom that is actually inlaid on a shell. It culminates with shell heishi jaclas and “corn” crafted from spondylus (spiny oyster). It measures approximately 37″ long. Please note that it is heavy but not uncomfortable when being worn. It is definitely a show-stopper!
